Who Is Eligible?
You may be eligible if you are an adult aged 18-75 with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above accompanied by a weight-related health condition, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease, pre-diabetes, or obstructive sleep apnoea. Your suitability for treatment will be assessed and confirmed by a clinician during a face-to-face consultation.
Pre-Appointment Screening
Your pre-appointment screening is completed on the same day, before your appointment begins. This assessment helps us determine your eligibility and suitability for our weight loss service, allowing us to prepare the most appropriate treatment plan for you.
During the screening, we will ask about:
Your medical history
Current medications
Allergies
Weight-related health conditions
Key safety and suitability questions
All information you provide is handled confidentially, in line with our privacy policy, and is reviewed only by our clinical team.
Tip: Please have your current medication list or repeat prescription slip available, as this will help speed up the screening process.
How the service works
Initial Consultation (In-person)
We will discuss your weight management goals, review your medical history and current medications, and take the necessary measurements to calculate your BMI. If treatment is appropriate, a clinician will recommend a suitable medication and determine an appropriate starting dose.
Teaching & first supply
Your pharmacist will provide step-by-step guidance on how to use your pre-filled injection pen safely and correctly, including injection technique, suitable injection sites, needle safety, and proper disposal. You will also receive written instructions and a sharps bin to support safe treatment at home.
4-week review
Your pharmacist will review your progress, discuss any side effects, and adjust your dose if appropriate to help you achieve the best possible outcomes.
